The family dog Brian is also not a normal dog, as he behaves human-like and can speak English, although he is considered a pet.

This Japanese series is a worldwide hit and has gathered quite a lot of fan following and craze over the years. First airing on TV in Asahi in 1992, this animated series has been running ever since and has surpassed a milestone of about 1000 episodes. The show was such a hit in Japan that later on, the show would get dubbed in over 30 languages and be broadcast in over 45 countries.
